S0E305 · Their common enemy is Jesus (2024)
Unless you’re a history major (or spend all your time thinking about the Roman Empire), the political and religious landscape in The Chosen can be a little confusing. If Rome’s in charge, who’s this King Herod guy? And what about this Jewish “congress”, the Sanhedrin? And those odd-sounding religious factions—Pharisees, Saduccees, Zealots, etc.? If any of that’s unclear, this video’s for you. Listen as co-writer, Tyler Thompson, gives you a crash course history lesson on all the rival rulers carving out their own kingdoms in Jesus’ day—and ultimately, finding Him to be their common enemy.
